Beer #61 Acorn Barnsley Bitter (England)

Acorn Barnsley Bitter

ABV: 3.8%

Not a bitter fan, but this is turning me round. Well done Acorn, some coffee notes and a tiny bit of chocolate.

Beer #59 Hobsons Postman’s Knock (England)

Postman's Knock

ABV: 4.8%

Nothing like a warm chocolatey Porter to set you up for winter. This is an excellent place to start

Beer #58 J.W.Lees Harvest Ale 2008 (England)

Harvest Ale

ABV: 11.5%

Upping the ante with this special brew purchased from the Manchester Christmas Markets. Unlike Dark Star however, this is more of a Barley Wine. Felt syrupy to drink, not to my taste to be frank.

Beer #57 Dark Star Imperial Stout (England)

Dark Star

ABV: 10.5%

Yep, 10.5%. This is a rich, dark stout, like drinking a roast beef meal followed by a dark chocolate pudding. More. MORE.

Beer #56 Brewdog Five AM Red Ale (England)

Brewdog 5AM

ABV: 5%

The follow-up to Xingu at the Brazillian BBQ, this is a scorchingingly good red. My first Brewdog on this blog and definitely not my last.

Beer #55 Xingu Gold (Brazil)

ABV: 4.7%

Oh this is a lovely lager, but perhaps influenced by meat I was inhaling at the Roziodas in liverpool!
